When University Technical Colleges (UTCs) challenged us to increase awareness and attendance of Open Days at their college, we set to work creating an advertising campaign targeting prospective parents and students. We ran adverts across the paid social platforms Facebook and Instagram, and the results speak for themselves: 4.5 million impressions seen by 1.3 million people, 55,000 clicking through to UTC websites, and 70% of Open Day sign-ups being driven by our ads. Our campaign resulted in an 8-fold increase in Open Day attendance, and engaged parents, excited students, and captured the interest of employers, all by posing the question… ‘What did you do at school today?’
