One third of alkaline batteries thrown away still have up to 67% of usable power left inside. Thankfully, help is at hand with the launch of Duracell Powercheck which allows people to see the amount of energy left inside so they can squeeze out every last drop of available power from their batteries.

We recruited a design engineer to create a unique light sculpture in the shape of the iconic Duracell Bunny using 700 LEDs, 458 metres of wire and the all-important 192 discarded batteries.

By transforming everyday items into something beautiful, we showed how batteries which may have been presumed ‘dead’ can be given a second chance to illuminate the world around them. The content received 108,000 views on YouTube and formed the heart of the Powercheck promotional campaign across social, digital and print media.
